  3.     Readers quickly noticed that the Iranian demonstrators who
  4. marked the tenth anniversary of the U.S. embassy seizure by
  5. defiling the American flag (NATION, Nov. 20) were using not Old
  6. Glory but their own version of it, one with 18 stripes and 24
  7. six-pointed stars on a pastel blue background. Wrote Elizabeth
  8. T. de Roode of Toronto: "Maybe someone should start a business
  9. selling an indestructible, reusable Old Glory to Iran just for
  10. demonstrations."
